As the sun began to bid farewell to California’s Bay Area the tie dyed visions of yesteryear and tomorrow rose from the grounds of Shoreline Ampitheatre for Dead and Company’s summer tour 2019 opener. The imminent return of lot burritos and fragrant patchouli reflected the ever expanding cosmos of the Dead’s world. Bobby Weir and fellow Dead and Company hit the stage and promptly began to expand the cosmic joke of humility with a “Playin in the Band” opener.

Two nights ago, at a casino in Reno, Bob Weir stepped up to the mic and said “If you want exactly perfect you are going to have to wait two or three nights”, well this is the third night of the Weirwolf's tour, and it was well worth the wait.

Bob Weir, our favorite psychedelic cowboy, turned 71 yesterday. In addition to another circle around the sun, Bobby also kicked off the first fall tour stop of Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros in Reno, Nevada.
